I fell in love with yoga back in 2001 initially as a means of fitness, but over time more for the sense of balance, grace, mindfulness, and harmony it has welcomed into my life. Through my practice, yoga has helped me to develop a new appreciation for what the body and mind are capable of as well as the multitude of health benefits that it has to offer.
I completed my 200 hour power yoga teacher training in 2011 and have never looked back. Over the last couple of years, I have also completed a 40 hour yin yoga teacher training and a 30 hour prenatal yoga teacher training. My personal favourite offerings are Flow, Power, Yin, and last but definitely not least; Partner Yoga! I am dedicated to creating a lighthearted and empowering practice for people to fall in love with. I always teach from a place of love, compassion, and acceptance – I encourage students to stay present, listen to their bodies, and challenge themselves by letting go of what they think they know in order to allow themselves to create space for something new. I believe yoga is the perfect opportunity for us to reflect inward and learn more about who we really are (body, mind, and soul). The beauty of yoga really is the fact that there is something for everyone, regardless of what brings you onto you mat or your level of experience.
When I’m off the mat, I enjoy walking in nature, snapping photos, snuggling with my adorable bunnies, getting creative in the kitchen, splashing in puddles, the occasional Netflix binge, movie theatre popcorn, indian food, singing at the top of my lungs and sharing / spreading as much love as possible.
